Hello, friends!

It’s been a while. I know. Many of you have reached out over the past six months to let me know you missed this newsletter (which I never thought anyone would say, so, thank you!) and asked when it would return. I received advice, encouragement, and inspiration from so many people about how to pick this back up after what felt like a lifetime away.

I’ve written a few times about getting stuck in the fake rules we set for ourselves. That’s where I’ve been the past few months. I set a pattern for this newsletter — the lemonade recipe — and got waaaay too attached to it. If I couldn’t think of three ingredients for each topic, I scrapped it. If I had a reflection but couldn’t think of an issue to tackle, I scrapped it. So many ideas gone because they did not follow the rules that *I* established for my own newsletter.

In hindsight, it’s so silly, isn’t it?

It took ruminating on an unexpected conversation with a friend a few months back (s/o Ana), reading a new friend’s newsletter (s/o Julia), and finishing a random fiction book that is so the opposite of my normal reading choices (s/o The Love of My After Life) to help me finally break through these self-inflicted rules.

So, my friend: We are soooo back.

With that said, this newsletter will likely look different from issue to issue. There will still be some recipes, but not always. I’m still trying to figure it out. But to follow the advice I have written so many times before, I am trying my best to be like water, listen to my intuition, and do what feels right.
